Claudia Goodnight

Joining Wright Choice in 2006 from the manufacturing side of the specialty food business, Claudia was for eight years a part-owner of a popular Oklahoma City catering company which produced and marketed their own food line. She also has an extensive sales and customer service background, having worked in the radio advertising business as an account representative for 15 years prior to her catering business. Always an enthusiastic cook, Claudia offers an experienced perspective on everyday use of these fine food products and gadgets which translates well to good sell-through on a retail level.

Wendell Strunk

Wendell, originally from Kansas, grew up on a farm and then worked in his parents restaurant until joining the Air Force where he spent the next 4 years. After returning home, Wendell went into partnership with his parents and purchased a restaurant in Humboldt, KS.

While working part time at the restaurant Wendell attended junior college and then continued on to Kansas State Teacher's College and graduated with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Economics.

Years later, after having moved to Tulsa, OK, Wendell went to work part time for Gourmet food broker, Clyde Purser, based in Oklahoma City. He continued working as a broker part time until 1996 when he started his own Gourmet Food & Confection distributorship, Dean's Select Foods. Wendell started working with Wright Choice in the fall of 2003.

Sylvia Samuels

Sylvia was raised in the Gourmet food business. Born in the USA to Swiss parents, she ran the family European Bakery and Restaurant where she learned to prepare and appreciate fine international cuisine.

After 30 years, the family business was sold and Sylvia ventured to the other side of retail working as sales and purchasing manager for a distributor of Gourmet refrigerated and non-refrigerated specialty foods. During her 10 1/2 year tenure she covered all the major markets of Texas.

As a full time member of the Wright Choice brokerage team, she offers considerable hands on knowledge and experience to our group. Sylvia believes the American consumer's appreciation of specialty foods is growing and Wright Choice offers an impressive and comprehensive line of International confectionary and specialty foods to satisfy their palate.

A North Texas native, Amy spent 4 years in the retail sector at a high-end specialty/gourmet kitchen store. Moving from the retail side to wholesale with another brokerage firm before landing at Wright Choice Gourmet, Amy’s experience on both sides of the counter has helped her develop a strong understanding of the market place and now manages the Specialty Grocery Division for WCG.

Keith Harvey

Originally from the Dallas area Keith made his entrance into the food business 1994 and began working in different restaurants in the Austin area.Keith spent time working with varied styles of cooking to fuel his passion for food often working 2 jobs.

In 1997 Keith shifted gears began working with HEB Central Market and quickly climbed into store management then went on to open a store as a specialty foods manager in South Austin at the Westgate Central Market. In 2003 Keith parted ways with Central Market and took some culinary courses in traditional Northern Italian cooking in Sienna, Italy.

Keith’s extensive knowledge of food service operations and product ingredient uses along with grocery back round provide a unique understanding of quality product representation.
